Jay Martin is a highly experienced social policy professional. She has 20 years of experience in leadership positions with federal, state and local governments, not-for-profit organisations, the private sector and communities, to develop, implement and assess social programs.
She has also worked in East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, where she advised governments on housing, child welfare, and financial sustainability. She is currently an Associate Director with KPMG's specialist Health, Ageing and Human Services team.
Jay graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Asian Studies, having entered as a mature aged student. While at Murdoch she was awarded the S.T. Leong Memorial Scholarship to undertake research in Vietnam, and received a Vice-Chancellor's Commendation for Academic Excellence. She also holds a Master of Public Policy from the Australian National University.
